The challenge:

With a backlog of 1,200+ legacy posts that needed refreshes, we needed to scale production without adding headcount or sacrificing quality.

What I did:

I piloted the use of AI tools to enhance (not replace) our workflows:

  • Used Clearscope and Surfer SEO to speed up keyword targeting and brief creation

  • Implemented Reword for auditing outdated articles

  • Focused AI refresh efforts on low-priority content so writers could focus on high-impact topics

The results:

  • 133 articles refreshed using AI-assisted workflows

  • Improved refresh velocity without expanding budget or sacrificing quality

  • Built internal processes to scale content refresh efforts in 2025 and beyond
